Alan Ritchson and Catherine Ritchson have announced that they are splitting up. The Reacher star announced their split through social media.
There, they posted a slideshow of images in cursive writing about their relationship and why they chose to divorce.
"After twenty years together, Cat and I have decided to end our marriage and continue alongside one another in a different way," he wrote.
"We grew up together. We built a life and a family together. And we are raising three incredible boys who will always be the center of our world," he continued.
"Nothing can diminish what these years have meant to us—or the love and respect we will always share."
"The best gift we can give one another—and our boys—right now is friendship, grace, and commitment to becoming the strongest co-parents we can be."
He continued by asking for "privacy and compassion" for them and their children during this time.
They signed off the post by writing, "Thank you for supporting us as we continue making the health and happiness of our family our priority. - Cat and Alan."
The post was accompanied by a singular broken heart emoji from the Reacher star.
As reported by TMZ, legal documents show that Alan had previously attempted to file for divorce in December 2025, although they had reconciled by March.

His last post about her on social media came in May 2025. There, he posted about their 19th anniversary, as well as Mother's Day.
"I'm the luckiest man alive," his post began. "To be able to build the treasure that is our marriage and family is and always will be the greatest privilege and success of my life".
The Reacher star continued by saying that he and their children were "so beyond blessed to be able to journey with and for you."
The post also included a montage of them together, hugging, alongside their kids.
We hope that they work things out amicably and that they can navigate this difficult era of their lives effectively together—as they say, "for the boys".
