A week after President Donald Trump expressed his disappointment over Fox News Media suddenly cutting ties with anchor Maria Bartiromo, the anchor is finally speaking out.

Maria Bartiromo Says "Thank You"
Bartiromo posted a message on X yesterday, Sep. 10, along with an image of a rainbow shining through some clouds.
"Thank you to all friends & followers for your amazing words I am so grateful for the outpouring of love on SM [social media] & texts," she wrote. "I love you all... More to come."
Bartiromo's message came a day before her 59th birthday and the 25th anniversary of 9/11. Users replied to the post with AI-generated images of her (here's one with her wearing a crown), praising her.
On Sep. 3, President Trump shared a statement about Bartiromo's departure on Truth Social.
"Maria is a total professional, and a true warrior," he wrote. "Her fans, of which there are many, will not be happy."
During her time with Fox, Bartiromo interviewed President Trump several times. She also co-moderated two debates during the 2016 presidential election.
Why Did Fox News Cut Ties With Bartiromo?
Bartiromo hosted several top-rated shows at Fox Business and Fox News Channel, including Mornings with Maria. She last appeared on Fox Business on Aug. 7 and on Fox News on Aug. 9.
"We thank Maria for her work over the last 12 1/2 years and wish her all the best on her next chapter," said a spokesperson with the network on Sep. 3.
While Fox News Media did not say she was fired, PEOPLE reports that Bartiromo's attorney, Bryan Freedman, claims that she has never left the network.
"The irresponsible reports that have been published stating that Maria Bartiromo was fired or is no longer an employee of Fox are absolutely and unequivocally false," he said. "Make no mistake, we have the receipts and witnesses, and they will come out whether through the courthouse or otherwise."
He added, "Those reporting her firing or the incredulous facts supporting that fiction have exhibited a complete and utter reckless disregard for the truth."
Some have speculated that Fox News Media cut ties with Bartiromo because of her endorsement of election fraud claims surrounding the 2020 presidential election.
Her remarks played a key role in Dominion Voting Systems' $1.6 billion defamation case against Fox News Media. The suit was ultimately settled, and the company allegedly paid $787 million to Dominion.
Bartiromo is reportedly connected to another defamation suit against Fox News Media by the voting software company Smartmatic.
