Koe Wetzel Postpones Upcoming Shows After ‘Unexpected Family Emergency’

"I’m truly sorry," the beloved country-rocker told fans.

"Hurts Like You" singer Koe Wetzel just took to social media to give fans disappointing news after an "unexpected family emergency."

The 34-year-old, whose currently on his "The Night Champion World Tour," explained that he needed to reschedule three upcoming shows in an Instagram post earlier today (Sept. 9).

"Hey y'all - due to an unexpected family emergency back home, I've made the difficult decision to reschedule our shows this weekend," Wetzel wrote. "I hate having to make this call, especially knowing how many of y'all have made plans to come see us. I'm truly sorry for the inconvenience and really appreciate your understanding and support right now," he added.

The "Time Goes On" singer was set to play shows in Knoxville, Tennessee, on Sept. 10, Greensboro, North Carolina, on Sept. 11, and Wilmington, North Carolina, on Sept. 12. Now, the shows will run as follows: Wilmington, North Carolina, on Sept. 16, Knoxville, Tennessee, on Oct. 22, and Greensboro, North Carolina, on Oct. 23.

Fans React to Koe Wetzel Abruptly Rescheduling Shows

Meanwhile, Wetzel didn't offer refunds for the abruptly postponed shows. "All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new dates," he wrote before adding, "Thank y'all and see you soon!"

Of course, Koe Wetzel fans took to the comments section with mixed emotions. Many were supportive of the "Ragweed" singer's need to reschedule due to a family emergency.

"It's okay man! Family comes first always. Praying for y'all ??," one fan wrote. "Oh noo 🙁 so sorry! Prayers to your family!!!" another understanding fan added.

However, other frustrated fans used the comments section to blow off some steam.

"I pray everything is okay but I think I'm gonna be sick," one fan admitted. "rb crying for the unseeable future because I can't make it to the rescheduled for Wilmington. See ya next year when u come back to nc ?????," another emotional Wetzel lover wrote. "How about refund option for people who work and were planning on traveling and can't go midweek?" yet another frustrated fan added.

In his previous Instagram post, Wetzel shared that he was enjoying the kickoff of college football season (namely, Louisiana State University) with high-profile pals like comedian and podcaster Theo Von. "College football is here.. we're so back," he wrote alongside a series of snaps of him and his buddies tailgating.
