A large sinkhole has dramatically opened outside a Malibu home reportedly belonging to A-list Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage.

The sinkhole, which has swallowed much of the property's driveway, is estimated to measure around 30 feet by 30 feet.
Local media reports state that no injuries have been reported. The dramatic collapse followed several days of heavy rain across Southern California.

Residents in the neighborhood were first alerted to an eight-foot sinkhole that began forming on Monday.
"At that point, the homeowners were not overly concerned," one resident said at the time.
Initially, residents believed that the sinkhole "could be fixed pretty quickly" before "all hell broke loose".
During the early hours of Tuesday, the ground gave way further, leaving a huge 30-foot crater outside Cage's home.
The sinkhole swallowed the majority of the driveway, leaving debris scattered around the property.
The collapse also reportedly triggered a gas leak, prompting emergency services to respond to the scene. Crews later secured the leak.
Traffic cones have since been placed around the enormous crater. Reports claim that waves from the seafront can now be seen "lapping in the hole and rushing out again under the stanchions that support the home".
Malibu Orders Evacuations as Conditions Worsen
The City of Malibu declared a local emergency and ordered the evacuation of 31 homes after the sinkhole rapidly expanded.
Authorities have warned that conditions could deteriorate further due to high tides and additional rainfall associated with Tropical Storm Marie.
"Emergency personnel access is severely constrained and may be impassable, due to the large portion of the road that has collapsed," the city wrote in the emergency declaration.
"The intact portion of the roadway is too narrow to accommodate emergency response vehicles, including fire engines and other large apparatus, creating a substantial risk to public safety and emergency response capabilities."
Officials opened a temporary shelter at Malibu High School on Morning View Drive for residents affected by the evacuation order.
Authorities have also shut off gas service in the affected area, while warning that they could suspend water service if conditions deteriorate.
Officials have not yet indicated how long the evacuation order will remain in effect as they continue to monitor the sinkhole and surrounding area.
