Tyrese Gibson has spent almost a year facing charges of animal cruelty. The Fast & Furious star's four mastiff dogs allegedly killed his neighbor's dog during an attack. However, Gibson's attorney says those charges have now been dropped.

"Tyrese welcomes the State's dismissal of the charges and is grateful to his family, friends, and fans for their unwavering support throughout this process," Gabe Banks, Gibson's attorney said in the statement, via PEOPLE. "As he moves forward, Tyrese remains focused on his work, his family, and continuing to show love and support to his community."
According to Harrison Parker, who was the neighbor involved in the alleged dog attack, he had left his 5-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel in the yard. Parker noted that the yard had an invisible fence. However, he found his dog dead shortly after, per WSB-TV 2.
"I found my dog dead in my driveway," Parker told WSB-TV 2. "Not hearing him around, it's just awful. He was one of the sweetest dogs and to have him get murdered is, it's indescribable."
At the time of the incident, it's alleged that Gibson's Cane Corsos were running loose in the neighborhood. According to Fox 5 Atlanta, police executed a search warrant on Gibson's home on Sept, 22, 2025. However, neither he nor the dogs were present at the time.
Tyrese Gibson Has Issued an Apology via a Statement
Gibson issued a statement via his attorney, sharing his condolences on Sept, 30, 2025.
"Mr. Tyrese Gibson extends his deepest condolences to the family who lost their beloved dog to this tragic incident that occurred while Mr. Gibson was away from his home," Banks said of Gibson. "Upon learning of this unfortunate accident, Mr. Gibson immediately made the difficult decision to rehome his dogs to a safe and loving environment."
No information has been provided about what led to the charges against Gibson being dropped. That information will most likely stay public. However, it's fair to assume that Gibson will be happy to put the situation behind him.
Gibson is currently working on the last installment of the Fast & Furious Franchise. Fast & Furious is due to be released in 2028.
