In case you missed it, the legendary voice actor behind such characters as Transformers' Optimus Prime and Winnie the Pooh's Eeyore has tragically passed away at the age of 85.
We reported on it when his death was announced - he had passed away on August 26 in his Los Angeles home. At the time, his family released a statement about his passing.
"Peter Cullen passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family - and held in the hearts of his many friends and countless fans worldwide."
"His family asks that you honor his remarkable legacy by serving your communities and leading others with compassion, integrity, and loyalty and always remember, 'be strong enough to be gentle.'"

The 'Transformers' Star's Cause of Death Was Revealed
And now, as reported by TMZ, his cause of death has been revealed. His death certificate, which was obtained by the outlet, explained that the immediate cause of his death was "cardiac arrest due to respiratory arrest."
However, there was an underlying cause. This was listed as a "malignant neoplasm of the lower lobe of the lungs". A malignant neoplasm is also known as its more common name of cancer.
The outlet also confirmed that the Transformers icon is set to be buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California. His service is set to be on September 9.
Optimus Prime Was a "Hero" to Cullen
The Hollywood Reporter reported that Cullen wasn't exactly sure what to make of Optimus Prime when he first auditioned. "I auditioned like everyone else," he explained. "I was told it was a hero, and I was told it was a truck".
And that "hero" description really resonated with Cullen. So much so, that he based his voice acting on a hero of his - his Vietnam veteran brother. "When he came home, I could see a change," he recalled.
"He was quieter, and he was a man and a superhero to me. I watched him and listened to him. I'd never had an opportunity to do a superhero... When that came, [that voice] just came right out of me, and I sounded like Optimus."
