More explosive details have been released about the viral conman who claimed to be a professional football player. He conned several women out of millions of dollars in the process.
The man, named Daejon Love, was arrested for defrauding women after he claimed to be a wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers. But one person posted footage, where he claimed to be a professional basketball player overseas.
However, he later switched up his story and began to tell people at the gym that he played football.
The latest development in this story led to tons of reactions from fans on social media.
"This story keeps getting better and better. Except for the fraud part," one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"I don't buy he was showing high-level hoop athleticism or even talent. Show me video if he can hoop," a second user chimed in.
"This s**t captured my attn this guy is either a hero or villain i truly cant decide which it is," a third user remarked.
Love was jailed on wire fraud charges after more than 20 women came forward claiming that the conman defrauded them out of more than $1 million.
The story has captured the attention of the sports world. But not everyone is willing to paint Love as the villain. The NBA champion, Stephen Jackson, for instance. He offered the perspective that Love is no different than the average Joe,
