The world is still mourning the passing of country music icon, Dolly Parton. But apparently some aren't as sad about her untimely death.

After Parton passed in August, several fans decorated her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, with floral arrangements and messages of condolence and tribute. However, on Tuesday (September 1), Parton's star on the Walk of Fame had been vandalized with her name scratched off the pavement that sits on Hollywood Boulevard.

The vandalism had been shared by a fan who went to pay tribute and noticed that the star belonging to the Jolene creator had been tampered with.
"When we arrived a custodian was cleaning and told us a woman kicked candles around then with the shards of one scratched the star," the fan added in her caption (via The Hollywood Reporter). "Then a man came and stole the flowers that were there.
Several fans were outraged once the video began to make its rounds on social media.
"What? I don't know anyone who disliked Dolly. I don't know how anyone could dislike her. Disgusting," one person wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"How? Who? There's literally nothing controversial about Mrs Parton. She is beloved," a second user chimed in.
"Anyone who would do this should just be declared an enemy of humanity," a third user suggested.
At the time of writing, no arrests have been made in connection with the vandalism of the star.
Parton had been dealing with health issues before her passing. Multiple reports said that she had been dealing with autoimmune issues that hospitalized her. Ultimately causing her to pause her famed Las Vegas residency.
However, in a statement following her passing in August, reps for the country music star revealed that she passed away after a "brief battle with cancer." However, they do not go into detail about what type of cancer the star had been diagnosed with.
Parton was 80 years old.
