After Ed Sheeran performed at Ford Field in Detroit on Aug. 29, six members of his tour crew were rushed to the hospital.

Heavy Equipment Struck the Crew Members
As reported by PEOPLE, the incident took place around 11 p.m. on Saturday, after the "Shape of You" singer's concert. Audio from the fire department revealed that crews were sent to the venue for a "forklift injury accident."
The workers were reportedly struck by equipment near a ramp in a vehicle tunnel as they headed out for their break. All six crew members were then taken to local hospitals.
One Sheeran crew member was struck in the chest. They said the accident occurred in "a split second." Another shared that he stayed overnight at the hospital before being released on Sunday, Aug. 30.
While none of the crew members suffered anything life-threatening, two suffered serious injuries. Four of them were in stable condition when they were taken to the hospital.
Ed Sheeran Performed the Next Night
Ford Field said in a statement that one of the crew members was an employee.
"Ford Field has begun a full review and is cooperating with the appropriate authorities and with the event's production partners," the statement read. "Out of respect for the people involved and the integrity of that review, we will not speculate on the cause. We are grateful to the Detroit Fire Department and EMS for their rapid response."
Sheeran then gave a surprise performance in San Francisco the following evening. He performed "Celestial" from the video game Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. He also performed an acoustic arrangement of the game's original theme song.
The singer's tour will continue this Friday, Sep. 4. He will perform at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
Last year, Sheeran said he was relocating to the United States for the tour. The London native then clarified his remark, stating that the move is not permanent.
