"We didn't put my dad in any sort of morgue," she said to the outlet in an August 31 interview. "He came straight home and we got to spend a few days with him and mourn with him and make sure that everything was the way we wanted it to be."
It has been a little over a year since Ozzy passed away. And though some time has passed, Kelly doesn't believe she'll ever be the same without the presence of her dad.
"I'm different," Kelly said. "Everything has changed, but it's just taking it one day at a time and putting the pieces back together in a way that you think will work."

Elsewhere in the interview, Kelly credited Ozzie's fans with helping them keep their heads high during his transition.
"It saved us," Kelly added. "Every note, every flower, every gift that was sent to us—we received, we read, we acknowledged, and the people we could find the time to write back to and thank, we did. It showed us that they loved him as much as we loved them. Because he really did"
The rock star had dealt with several medical issues in the years leading up to his passing. In 2019 he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. He also had a history of coronary artery disease.
Osbourne will go down as a Rock & Roll legend. He had nothing left to prove in the music industry. But although his legend status was cemented before his passing, he noted that he was disappointed in how it ended. Because of the lasting effects of his health-related issues, he was forced to retire.
"My singing voice is fine. However, after three operations, stem cell treatments. Endless physical therapy sessions, and most recently groundbreaking Cybernetics (HAL) Treatment, my body is still physically weak," Osbourne said in February 2023.
