Back in the late 80s and early 90s, it was common to chant "the roof is on fire." Well, during a concert in Boston, Kacey Musgraves had every reason to break out into that time-tested chant.

During her set, she looked up to see that some of her stage set had caught fire. There didn't appear to be any imminent danger; however, she wasted no time in pointing out the minor blaze to those in attendance.
"Uhm, that looks bad," Musgraves said. "Genuinely, something is on fire. I have way too much hair spray to be standing under that sh-t... It seems fine, right? Does anyone have a bedazzled fire extinguisher somewhere? Anyway, here's 'Wonderwall'."
Clearly, Musgraves wasn't too concerned by the small blaze. She continued to play her set without much thought given to the slow-burning fire above her. Of course, the fans in attendance likely kept an eye on the blaze to ensure it wasn't growing or spreading elsewhere around the set.
Nevertheless, the incident is now just another memory for Musgraves, who is on the road for her "Middle of Nowhere" tour. Hopefully, she doesn't run into any more fire-related incidents, though, because they're unpredictable.
Kacey Musgraves Recently Made Headlines for Offering Relationship Advice
Musgraves' "Middle of Nowhere" tour is named after her latest album. One of the singles released from that setlist is "Dry Spell," and interestingly, Musgraves promoted that song by giving out relationship advice while on stage earlier this year.
"Stay patient. Don't lower your standards. Don't get desperate," Musgraves advised. "You can have fun, but let's keep the standards high... A beautiful song came out of it, and the dry spell ended. So if it can happen for me, it can happen for anyone."
Fortunately, it was only Musgraves' love life that went through a dry spell. Because if the set had been much drier, the whole situation in Boston could have turned out to be much, much worse.
Musgraves will now move on to New York, where she'll host two separate gigs at Madison Square Garden. She will then continue traveling around the United States until the 27th of October. Musgraves will then take a few months off before heading out to the United Kingdom, where she'll play shows in Glasgow, London, and Manchester.
