TikTok star Mama A has passed away at only 26 following a car crash which also claimed the life of a Marine. As reported by Dexerto, the incident happened in the early hours of August 22.
Mama A, real name Alyshia Rushing, was known on the platform for sharing videos about raising her children and more generally motherhood. She had four children.
The Marine who also tragically died in the head-on collision was later identified as 20-year-old Landon Dunn.
Montgomery authorities confirmed that they had responded to a collision on the southbound lanes of I-85 at around 2:15 am on August 22. Officers found Rushing as well as another female passenger in her SUV.
Whilst Rushing had sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, the other female passenger was rushed to the hospital. Her injuries were described as non-life-threatening. The marine was also reported dead at the scene.
Reports from the scene also showed the severity of the tragic crash. One of the vehicles was reported to be on fire when emergency responders arrived at the scene. However, the cause of the crash remains unknown, pending an investigation.

Fundraisers Have Been Started Following the Crash
A friend of Dunn has started a fundraiser on behalf of his family. Robert Howard explained that he had served with Dunn in the Marine Corps for a year and a half. He wrote, "Landon's death has deeply affected everyone close to him, including his family, friends, and fellow Marines,".
He continued, "His family has lost a son and brother they will never get to see again, and the Marine Corps has lost a young man who was looked to with the purest hearts I have known." As of August 29, the fundraiser has raised over $22,000.
Rushing's mother, Crystal Smitherman, has also started a fundraiser. She wrote, "She was an amazing mother of four, a content creator, and one of the strongest women I have ever known. Alyshia was always good to everybody, had a great heart, and loved the Lord." As of August 29, her fundraiser has raised over $2,400.
