Former Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys running back Miles Sanders found himself in hot water earlier this summer. Court records obtained by a CBS affiliate, KDKA in Pennsylvania, showed that the ex-NFL star was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) on June 8.

He was arrested in Churchill, Pennsylvania, a town just outside of Pittsburgh. Reports stated that the ex-Penn State star was "in and out of consciousness." Police approached the vehicle, which was parked in the middle of the road, and attempted to wake him up. It was at that point that they noticed that Sanders was unable to answer their questions and looked "extremely lethargic."

The report also noted that police described Miles' eyes as "glossy" and that his breath smelled like alcohol when he got out of his car. He later confessed to the arresting officers that he had been drinking earlier in the day.
The report also adds that the NFL free agent "performed poorly" on the field sobriety test, and also tested positive for alcohol on the breath test. Marijuana was also found in his vehicle.
The former Cowboys star is set to appear in court in September.
Of course, the news went viral, which led to an outpouring of fan reactions on social media.
"The way these people can easily get a chauffeur and still prefer to put other people's lives in danger is truly absurd," one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"I think if you're a millionaire and get a DUI, you should have to automatically do jail time. I'm poor and can buy an Uber," a second user chimed in.
"Horrible to see players that are still young struggling this way. Dudes taken a lot of hits over his career and doesn't have a ton to show for it. Hope he's alright," a third user remarked.
In a statement to KDKA-TV on Wednesday (August 26), Sanders' attorney Phil DiLucente told the outlet: "This is a private matter that has not even reached the preliminary hearing stage, and there will be no further comment."
