College Student Shot Dead After Costly Mistake
Pysher believed that he was entering a friend's home. Bubba had been celebrating a friend's birthday with a night on the town at a bar in Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania on Saturday night (August 22).
After the bar hop was over the group decided to move the party to a friend's house. This was the residence that the college athlete believed he was entering according to his mother Erin Pysher (WPVI).
"He ended up at the wrong house after having a few drinks. He didn't know that, so he was knocking on the door saying, 'Hey, let me in.' Thinking it was his friend's house, but it wasn't," his mother said.
The owners of the residence became concerned when the college student tried to enter the residence. So they called the police
according to a release from the Montgomery District Attorney's office.Shooting Happened in Matter of Minutes
When police arrived at the home to respond to the call about a suspected break-in Bubba and the police engaged in an "encounter." One that ended with him being shot. And it all happened in a matter of minutes according to Erin.
"12:32, he was on the phone with his friends. By 12:35, I believe he was already shot. So, within a few minutes, the cop pulled up and shot him. He was unarmed. He had a cell phone and a book bag," the victim's mother added.
Now his community is left to mourn his devastating loss.
"To see someone that has so much potential because he was so excited about going back to school, lose their life, it hurts," a family friend, Kia, told Fox 29 (via The New York Post). "He was an amazing soul, young man, never got in any trouble, well-respected."
Pysher was set to begin his first year on the Saint Elizabeth University baseball team this fall. He was unarmed during the altercation.
