Legendary blues singer Latimore has died. He was 86.

Latimore, whose real name was Benjamin William Lattimore, was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 2017. He is best known for his signature hit "Let's Straighten It Out."

Born in Charleston, Tennessee, in 1939, Latimore began his career as a gospel singer before transitioning to blues.
He was scheduled to perform at the Mississippi Delta Blues and Heritage Festival in September.

Beyond his solo career, Latimore remained active as a session pianist for decades, contributing to Joss Stone's albums "The Soul Sessions" and "Mind Body & Soul."
He made a notable television appearance on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' in May 2014. Latimore was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 2017.

Latimore fans paid tribute to the late music icon on social media.
