Little House on the Prairie star Charlotte Stewart and rock star Jim Morrison would make for an odd pair. But did you know that they used to be drinking buddies?

The late rock icon struck up a friendship with Stewart after visiting her boutique. Stewart opened up about how she met Morrison at her botique Liquid Butterfly.
"[The Liquid Butterfly] was across from Elektra Records, and that's how I met Jim Morrison," Stewart said via People. "I got to work one day, and Jim Morrison was standing in my store, looking out the window. He looks at me, and he says, 'Do you mind if I'm here?' 'No, I don't mind if you're here.' And he said, 'I just wanted to look at Elektra Records.'"
Rock Icon Became Friends with Actor
Morrison became a regular at the shop. Soon, Stewart and Morrison became friends and "drinking buddies" with a group of friends. Stewart reflected, "Not just the two of us, but five or six of us at noon would walk down the street on La Cienega Blvd. and go out to lunch, have some drinks. Then he basically became my drinking buddy, because he didn't want to drink alone."
However, Stewart also took responsibility for helping Morrison get home. The rock icon would frequently become plastered during their trips to the bar.
"He would come into the store at five, six o'clock and say, 'You want to go?' And I said, 'Okay.' So we would go. Then he would get so drunk that I would have to drive him home," Stewart said. She "didn't want anything from [Morrison]. He was my drinking buddy. So I took care of him."
Sadly, this was just the beginning of a lifestyle that led to Morrison's untimely death. The rock icon died at just 27. Morrison devolved into a world of drug and alcohol addiction. Authorities later found him dead in the bathtub of his apartment in Paris, France.
