The woman, named Kendra North, is warning residents in her Harlan County, Kentucky community to be wary of leaving out food and uncleaned messes. Because of the situation that happened at her home last Thursday (August 14).

Bear Breaks Into Woman's Home to Eat Leftover Chicken

North says that a bear entered her home and ate her leftovers from KFC. An even more interesting tidbit about the bear's break-in was that she slept through the whole thing. North describes herself as a "heavy sleeper"

She told WDKY that it was her sister, who also happens to be the neighbor, that alerted her to the situation. North says that she received several calls from her sister in the wee hours of the morning. And initially ignored her call, but eventually answered out of concern.

"I answered the call, and she was like, 'Bro, there's a bear, and it just walked out of your house. And it came down your steps. It came and looked at me, dead in the eyes, on my side of the yard,' " she said to the outlet (via PEOPLE).

Although North did not get a look at the bear, she does believe that the animal was large. Because of the table that was shattered, which was made up of "really thick glass.

North says that she believes that the bear was drawn to the leftover chicken because of a door that she and her partner had left cracked the night before that was never closed. Even though the smell of the leftover chicken was faint, it was enough to draw the animal to their home for a late-night snack. North also added that she was "a little sad" about the KFC.

What is even more wacky is that this was not the only bear sighting that North has experienced over the past few days. She says that while she was cooking a meal days later, she saw another bear sitting on her porch. Perhaps a returning customer? Thankfully, nobody was harmed.
