Interestingly, Wilson isn't the only star who will make an appearance throughout season two of the show. Jaime Pressly, Billy Gardell, and Tyne Daly have all been confirmed to also have guest roles. Still, for most of us, Lainey's role will be the one we look forward to the most.

The success of Leanne should come as no surprise, either. After all, Leanne is well known throughout the Southern comedy scene and has really hit the big time in recent years. Now, following the success of season one, where the show sat in the global top-10 for two straight weeks, Netflix appears to be doubling down.

If you're new to the show, here's what Netflix has for a synopsis.

"Leanne's turned upside down when her husband of 33 years unexpectedly leaves her for another woman," the synopsis says, per The Hollywood Reporter. "Supported by her family, including her ride-or-die sister Carol (Kristen Johnston), Leanne learns to embrace the chaos and finds strength, laughter and hope in the most unexpected places. This heartfelt comedy proves that it's never too late to rewrite your story."

Lainey Wilson Is Having a Stellar 2026

2026 is turning out to be an amazing year for Lainey Wilson. Not only is she getting to make a guest appearance on Leanne, but she's also been having success within her music career, too. In fact, just recently, Wilson got to share the stage with Taylor Swift, who made a surprise appearance at one of her shows.

"I don't think y'all are ready for what's about to happen," Lainey informed the crowd. "She is just as kind as she is talented. Y'all, welcome to the stage my friend Taylor Swift."

The duo did a duet of "Love Story." Taylor took the first verse, Lainey grabbed the second, and they dueted on the chorus. As you can imagine, it was a moment those in attendance will remember forever. More importantly, for Wilson, it was proof of her ascent to superstardom within the Country scene.

With four months left of 2026, Wilson still has time to add more memories to an incredible year. It'll be fun to see what she does next.
