The Country Legend Also Shared a Health Update
Per the outlet, the country legend has also opened up about his "slow but sure" recovery. "When I was recovering [from a heart attack], I slipped on a carpet beside my bed, fell, and broke my neck," he wrote in an email exchange. "You don't want to do that", he added.
He also shared that he was planning on attending the tribute, which is set to happen on November 9. However, given the nature of his injuries, his attendance isn't set in stone.
He further explained that he "hasn't been given a date" when he thinks things can go back to normal. About the tribute, he commented, "I've always been so fond of the Nashville music community, and I'm truly honored that they would want to do this tribute."
In case you'd like to visit the show: the pre-sale tickets open on Wednesday, August 19 at 10am CT, and are open until Thursday, August 20 at 10pm CT. The pre-sale code is RAY26.
And, in case you miss that, the public on-sale tickets get moving on Friday, August 21, at 10am CT.
We hope that his recovery is going well - and, hopefully, we'll see the country legend there!
