WWE legend and former manager Slick, known as the "Doctor of Style", has been rushed to hospital with a heart attack.
Book Pro Wrestlers announced the tragic news in a
"Only hours aog, we were celebrating the anniversary of Slick's WWF debut and reflecting on everything he has brought to professional wrestling. We would not have imagined that before the day was over, we would be asking everyone to pray for the man behind the character."
"The encouraging news is that Slick reached the hospital in time, made it through surgery and is said to be on the mend. His recovery is moving slowly, but right now, recovery is all that matters."
They also asked fans to "keep slick, his family and the medical team caring for him in your prayers,". They finished their statement by saying, "Get well, Slick. The wrestling world is pulling for you."

Fans filled social media with tributes and condolences for the legendary manager.
Commenters were quick to reminisce on seeing Slick in the WWE. "One of the best managers ever," one commenter wrote. "His stuff with Arsenio was hilarious. Get well Jive Soul Bro."
Another commenter wrote, "I really used to hate him as a kid and out of all the managers I used to enjoy seeing him getting a kicking the most. Then when you get older you realize that's exactly what he was meant to do."

This is a truly tragic situation. Heart surgery is a super difficult thing to deal with, even if he survives. Our thoughts and prayers are with Slick, his family, and his friends. We hope he pulls through.
