Chris Young recently joined the crowded club of country stars that own their own bar in Nashville. Named for his 2021 hit with Kane Brown, Famous Friends isn't your typical Music City honky-tonk.

As its name suggests, the Midtown sports pub is a place to hang out with friends and to meet new ones. There are plenty of games, food, and fun.
But when Famous Friends opened in June, there was something missing. Actually, it was someone: Kane Brown. Why did the "Used to Love You Sober" singer miss Young's special day? We have the details below.
Why Didn't Kane Brown Go to the Opening of Chris Young's Bar?
Brown's absence from the opening of Famous Friends was brought up when he was talking about his own bar on the latest episode of the radio show Country Countdown USA. Kane Brown's on Broadway opened a month before Young's.
And while Brown didn't offer a reason for missing Young's opening, he did own up to it.
"I know, I missed it," he said. "I was supposed to go to the opening. I was a bad friend and didn't make it."
But then Brown said he would make it up to Young. You can guess what happened.
"I told him I'd go the next day, but it was too late," he shared.
Did we mention that the bar is named for the massive hit Brown and Young worked on together? Hopefully the two stars can get past this and start working together soon.
Someone Has Been a Bad Friend to Brown
Last year, Lauren Alaina shared that she and Kane Brown planned on getting matching tattoos to commemorate their 2016 song "What Ifs" reaching Diamond status. That's when a song sells 10 million copies or more in the United States.
Brown got his diamond tattoo. But Alaina hasn't kept up her end of the deal yet.
"I was pregnant, so I hadn't [gotten the tattoo done]," she said. "You know what? I need to. I told him I would."
Hopefully Alaina will make good on her promise to Brown, because that's what good friends do.
