If you thought Harrison Ford was done with the Indiana Jones franchise, you're in for a huge surprise. The Hollywood icon, 84, is reportedly set to reprise his role as Indiana Jones in an upcoming attraction called Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent" at Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom.

Ford made the announcement via a pre-recorded message that played at a recent fan event.
"Hello, D23. Thanks for coming along on all of Indy's adventures," the pre-recorded message said. "Soon it'll be time for his next ride, and I'm pleased to share that, for the first time ever, I'm the actual model of the Indiana Jones animatronic — fear of snakes included."
"I'm excited for you to see his next epic adventure, and I'm coming to Walt Disney World soon," he continued.
Ford first played the role of Indiana Jones in 1984 for Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom. He returned in 1989 for Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade. In 2008, Ford once again donned a fedora for Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull. Ford last reprised his role in 2023 for Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny.
While Ford has played some genre-defining roles (such as being the original Han Solo), his time as Indiana Jones will forever be fondly remembered.

Shortly after Ford's message was posted to the Disney Parks Instagram page, fans began to leave their reactions in the comments.
"This is incredible!!!" one fan noted.
Another fan shared their happiness that Ford will be immortalised due to the attraction. "Having Harrison Ford living forever through this attraction was the best decision."
Interestingly, a second fan echoed the sentiment, "This makes me tear up knowing his legacy will forever be enshrined."
Overall, there was a clear level of excitement on display from Indiana Jones fans.
"Well that is awesome!!" another fan commented. "I really will miss dinosaur but I'm looking forward to a new adventure with Indy maybe they could include some Easter eggs to seeker and the dino institute in the queue."
