Hayden Panettiere has sadly passed away at the age of 36. She was best known for her roles as Claire Bennet on Heroes and Juliette Barnes on Nashville. Hayden's father, Skip, confirmed the former child star's death when speaking with ABC News.

"It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden. She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her -- and to the millions who watched her onscreen."

Skip continued by asking that his families privacy is respected "as our family takes time to process this unimaginable loss."

Currently, Hayden's cause of death hasn't became public.

According to TMZ, Hayden had been complaining of back pain over the last year. Furthermore, law enforcement sourced have told TMZ that they responded to an involving the former childhood star on Sunday. An investigation remains open.

Hayden's sudden death comes hot on the heels of her tell-all autobiography 'This Is Me: A Reckoning.' Throughout her book, she detailed her battled with opioid addiction, alcoholism, postpartum depression, and her road to recovery.

Hayden Panettiere Began Her Acting Career as a Baby

Hayden's acting career began at just 11 months old, when she stated appearing in commercials. She then made her first on-screen appearance as a young actress in 1996, appearing in an episode of Aliens In The Family. Just months later, Hayden played Megan Blackwood in How Do You Spell God?

In the coming years, Hayden continued making a appearances in TV shows, including a three-year span where she played Sarah Roberts in One Life to Live. By 1998, Hayden got her first big break, voicing Dot on A Bug's Life. Two years later, she palyed Sheryl Yoast on the Denzel Washington hit Remember The Titans.

In 2002, Hayden playe Maddie Harrington on Ally McBeal. Her career continued to pick up pace as the years rolled on by, ultimately leading to her role on Heroes, which made her a household name across the globe.

More recently, Hayden worked on movies such as A Breed Apart and Sleepwalker, as she returned to acting following her addiction battles.
