Slipknot has finally announced something lots of people had been wondering for months.
Sid Wilson, the band's keyboardist and DJ, is no longer a part of the band. They were quite cagey and succinct in what they wrote in their announcement on social media:
"Effective immediately, Slipknot will no longer be associated with Sid Wilson. We wish him the best in his future endeavors." The caption also read, "Slipknot have parted ways with Sid Wilson. The announcement could briefly be found on the band's website."
Strangely, they posted it on the page for their band's festival, Knotfest. Per People, they'd also posted it on their official Slipknot page, too, but then subsequently deleted it.
This comes after weeks of rumors saying that the iconic metal band member had been axed. Slipknot's guitarist, James "Jim Root", took to social media following the initial report that Wilson had been kicked out.
He wrote, "Don't believe everything you read. Stop, think, take a breath. Sit with it for awhile. Maybe, just maybe even wait until there's more information." He posted the statement alongside Slipknot's 2008 song "Til We Die".

Kelly Osbourne Also Made Cryptic Comments About the Metal Band Member
After the initial rumors were reported, Kelly Osbourne also took to social media to make some cryptic comments about Wilson. In case you weren't aware, the pair have recently split.
"Wake the f*** up take some responsibility I will not take your s*** anymore! I'm done!" she wrote. It was clearly referencing someone close to her, but it wasn't clear whether it was in reference to him.
She continued, "I want to be happy and I have a beautiful son to raise. Leave me alone, let me heal. I can't protect you from yourself anymore." While these were vague enough to not directly point to the metal band member, these next ones were a little more telling.
"Also while I'm at it can I have my dogs back and all my possessions. Oh yeah and maybe some child support?"
This seems to be quite the rough time for Sid Wilson. Here's hoping things get ironed out soon, and we get some actual clarification!
