Rock festivals are among the most physically demanding concerts, and attendees often state that they "died in the mosh pit," an idiom used to describe having a good time.

For one concertgoer, that idiom nearly became reality at the Bloodstock Festival in England.
Longtime music journalist Dom Lawson survived a heart attack he suffered on Sunday at the Bloodstock Festival.
Iron Maiden fans may know Lawson from his appearance in the recently released documentary Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition. Music enthusiasts may also recognize him for his written work on Metal Hammer, Prog, The Guardian, Blabbermouth and Loudwire.
Following the scary cardiac incident at Bloodstock, Lawson provided an encouraging health update on Instagram.
Music Journalist Survives Heart Attack Suffered at Rock Concert
Lawson began his photo caption by shouting out several music acts from the festival before diving into the details of his health scare.
"Had a wonderful time at @bloodstockopenair as usual. Nevermore gave me all-over goosebumps. Castle Rat were epic. Shining made my brain spin. Celestial Sanctuary were godly and crushing. STP (not that one) were a revelation. Municipal Waste will still fuck you up. And so on," Lawson wrote.
Unfortunately, I had a heart attack on Sunday and was rushed to the hospital. Managed to avoid dying, so that was a good start. Looks like I will be having some kind of surgery in the near future. Close shave, but you won't get rid of me that easily."
Lawson continued, "Huge thanks to our brilliant NHS, and particularly the Welfare tent folk at Bloodstock who could not have been more fabulous. Charlotte and my kids have been beyond wonderful too. Big love to those who heard the news and reached out (especially Alan!).
"Life's a funny old c*nt, isn't it? Also, heart attacks f*cking hurt. Would not recommend," he hilariously concluded.
GoFundMe Launched For Dom Lawson
Several musicians commented under Lawson's Instagram post, showering the music journalist with support.
Chief among them were Robb Flynn of Machine Head, Ihsahn of Emperor, Angela Gossow and Michael Amott of Arch Enemy, Shane Embury of Napalm Death and Dirk Verbeuren of Megadeth.
With approval from Lawson's partner, Charlotte, his friend Alex launched a GoFundMe -- featuring a hilarious plea for help in the description -- to assist cover his medical expenses.
