One of the Fallout show's most iconic characters is The Ghoul. In case you're not inducted into the universe's lore, ghouls are people who are permanently changed after being exposed to serious amounts of radiation.
Of course, trying to figure that out in terms of prosthetics is really difficult. The showrunners for Fallout figured the best way to do this wasn't CGI, but a prosthetic face mask. Well, CGI is used to remove the nose - that is a difficult thing to do otherwise.
And the wild success of the show means that they're currently on their third season of filming. So that means Walton Goggins, who plays The Ghoul, has had to endure that undeniably stuffy face decor for a good long while now.
And, after a long day of filming, he came up on a mob of fans who were super excited to see him. So, as a token of gratitude toward them (and likely because he was feeling a little hot, too), he ripped his ghoul prosthetics off right in front of everyone!
He reposted a fan's clip on social media. There, it shows fans cheering and jeering as he rips off the mask. He even has to take off The Ghoul's iconic cowboy hat as he does so.

The 'Fallout' Star Thanked Fans
In the video, he explains, "Thank you all so much for letting us film in your city." And that's something he elaborated on in the caption of his repost:
"I had the privilege of getting to say hello to some folks who came out to where we were filming yesterday... it's only because of you that is possible. Thank you so much for the support."
Fans in the comments were also equally as supportive as those who were in person.
One commenter wrote, "A GHOUL OF THE PEOPLE", with another writing, "You just KNOW he loves ripping that mask off!". I sure bet he does!
Another commenter was surprised at the quality of the prosthetics, writing, "I'm actually shocked at how cleanly that came off."
