Celebrities are no strangers to home invasions, and often hire a security detail to guard their treasured mansions and estates.

Typically, the crooks who manage to sneak inside multi-million-dollar homes are on the lookout for expensive jewelry, clothing and/or memorabilia to swipe. However, not every criminal is drawn to the glitz and glamour of riches.
Such was the case for a thief who broke into Country music star Toby Keith's farm, stealing only four Bud Lights before making his escape.
Anthony Borges, of Oklahoma, made an illegal booze run at Keith's farm in 2024 and stole a handful of canned adult beverages from the premises.
Thief Breaks Into Toby Keith's Farm
According to court records obtained and viewed by Whiskey Riff, the incident took place on July 9, 2024, at the Big Dog Daddy's farm in Norman.
In April 2025, Borges was found guilty of second-degree burglary for the intrusion. According to court records, the man invaded the property and was turned away at the front door by Toby Keith's daughter. He remained on the grounds, lingering near the pool area. The brief reads:
"Once he reached the cabana, the defendant approached its sliding glass door. Finding it unlocked, he slid it open and went inside, shutting the door behind him. The defendant proceeded to rummage throughout the unoccupied cabana. Opening drawers and cabinets and examining the array of Toby Keith memorabilia strewn about."
By the time police arrived, the man was sitting in the garage sipping the freshly stolen beer.
Upon his arrest, Borges told one of the deputies that "the Lord had told him to come work for Toby Keith."
Bud Light Burglar Attempts to Appeal
Following the conviction, Borges was nearly handed down a two-year prison sentence. However, his team appealed the sentence, arguing that the prosecution failed to prove that the defendant entered the property with the intent to steal. They claim that Borges was a Toby Keith fan who toured the farm out of curiosity.
Borges was released from Department of Corrections custody on June 1. It is unclear why he was released.
However, he was taken into custody shortly thereafter for misdemeanor charges. Borges faced charges of grand larceny, unlawful entry, and criminal trespass, dating back to 2022.
Last month, the court upheld the original burglary conviction. This time, his appeal was denied.
Borges' suspended sentence runs through Aug. 18, 2031.
