Legendary singer Rod Stewart has canceled all of his upcoming tour dates as he continues to recover from heart surgery.

Stewart, 81, recently underwent a successful routine coronary stent procedure.
The singer had performances scheduled through September 3. Including six dates as part of his Las Vegas residency in late August.

A representative for Stewart provided an update on the singer's condition in a statement to PEOPLE on Tuesday, August 11.
"Doctors are pleased with his recovery, and Rod is doing very well and has returned to his normal daily activities," the statement reads.
"On the advice of his doctors, he will take the next four weeks to recuperate and regain full fitness before returning to the stage. Unfortunately, this means he will be unable to continue his current tour dates."
Stewart also spoke publicly for the first time since undergoing the procedure. He revealed that he is "already feeling better and very much on the mend."
"I want to thank the doctors, nurses and everyone who has taken such wonderful care of me," he said in a statement.
"I'm deeply disappointed to miss these shows and sorry to let my fans down. But I look forward to getting back on stage and having a good time with you all again soon."
Rod Stewart's Recent Health Issues Disrupt Tour
Concerns surrounding Stewart's health emerged following the last-minute postponement of a recent show in Cincinnati.
Organizers initially postponed the performance because of "an unforeseen but minor medical procedure that required prompt attention."
The show was rescheduled for August 11, with a representative saying Stewart was "expected to make a quick recovery."
However, with Stewart now taking four weeks away from performing on the advice of his doctors, his remaining upcoming shows have also been put on hold.
The singer was in the middle of his One Last Time tour, which began in March.
Stewart had kept a relatively spread-out schedule, playing one show in March, four in April, six in July and four in August. Howard Jones and Richard Marx joined him for select dates.
The latest cancellations follow another health setback earlier this year.
Stewart canceled and postponed his June performances. This was after doctors diagnosed him with an acute upper respiratory infection, laryngitis and vocal strain.
Despite the recent interruptions, Stewart has given no indication that he plans to retire from performing.
His canceled shows are expected to receive new dates as he focuses on making a full recovery and preparing to return to the stage.
