"After just under 14 years in wrestling and doing sports my entire life... It's caught up to me. Surgery was never a first option for me, but it got to the point that it was needed," Ripley wrote. "First one down...Hopefully no more...I've survived, now it's time to start thriving again so I can get back to what I love to do! See you all down the road."

Ripley was forced to miss SummerSlam 2026 due to a torn meniscus in her knee. Her absence it what led to the WWE putting on a women's interim title match, allowing Chelsea Green to finally earn a championship.

"As many of you know, WWE Women's Champion Rhea Ripley has been spending the last several weeks recovering from a torn meniscus," Adam Pearce said during a

Ripley's injury was sustained during a WWE Women's Championship match against Jade Cargil at Clash In Italy on May 31.

WWE Stars Show Rhea Ripley Support in the Comments Section

Shortly after Ripley posted the update to Instagram, WWE stars began sending messages of love and support via the comments section.

"Speedy recovery," CM Punk wrote.

WWE Hall of Famer, Brie Bella, was the next to chime in.

"Sending you love!! Let me know if you there's any good shows to binge."

Nattie Neidhart also sent a loving message.

"You'll be feeling stronger and better in no time. Thinking of you!!! Here for you!"

While WWE talent may be feuding on our television screens, the truth is that most of them get along behind the scenes. Therefore, it shouldn't come as a surprise that Ripley received such a large outpouring of love and support.

Unfortunately for us WWE fans, there is currently no timetable set for her return. So, for the time being, we may have to get used to cheering for Green as she defends her interim title.
