Before being hit with a protective order that barred him from being unsupervised with his daughter, Food Network chef Eric Adjepong violated another protective order. One that barred him from contacting his wife. The violation occurred after he contacted her in January 2025.

In a July 2026 protective order, Howard County Circuit Court Judge Maurice C. Frazier stated that "there is a preponderance of the evidence to believe" that the Food Network chef physically abused his 7-year-old. A child whom he shares with ex-wife Janell Davis-Mack, according to The Washington Post.
Eric Adjepong Allegedly Violated Wife's Protective Order
According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, a July 2026 protective order bars Adjepong from "abusing, contacting, or entering the residence or school of his daughter."
The Food Network Chef is also being required to attend parenting classes and reunification therapy. Before the protective order is lifted.
In a statement to PEOPLE regarding the protective order, Adjepong's attorney told the outlet that his estranged wife "improperly withheld access to the parties' daughter." By not allowing him to see his child back in January 2025.
He also says that he tried to resolve the dispute amicably after his wife sought the protective order. Through a "a court required communications app," called OurFamilyWizard. With the intention of resolving any "issues relating to their daughter." And that the violation of the protective order was subsequently dismissed.
"The court dismissed the alleged violation of the protective order. Recognizing that there was an inherent conflict between the no-contact provision of the protective order. And the court's requirement that the parties use the OurFamilyWizard on custody matters," the statement said.
However, Davis-Mack's attorney insisted that the order was dismissed because it is being included in a pending civil case.
"It was dismissed not because the court didn't find that my client reached the burden of evidence, but because the exact language from the protective order, literally word for word, in other words, word for word as to what [Adjepong] wasn't allowed to do... was included in the consent order," he said of the January 2025 court order.
It will be interesting to see what the result of the legal proceedings is.
