Eason's ex is now banned from going near the Houston Rockets star. That includes his home, any NBA practice facility, his car, or any NBA arena where he'll be playing.

"A hearing -- at which a judge will decide whether the TRO should be extended into a long-term restraining order -- has been set for August 20," TMZ reports.

The 25-year-old power forward sought a TRO after Marilyn allegedly struck him multiple times in the face before threatening to kill him. Eason has also alleged that she recently entered an Airbnb where he was staying to pour bleach over $92,000 worth of designer clothes and personal property.

Eason will undoubtedly seek out a permanent restraining order. After all, the NBA season doesn't begin until October. There's no way he'll want to play through an entire NBA season while shouldering concerns of bumping into Marilyn, both when playing on the road and when playing at home.

For now, the TRO will run for roughly three weeks.

Tari Eason Is Entering the First Year of a New Contract

Eason will undoubtedly want to focus on the upcoming NBA season. The Rockets star is entering the first year of a new contract after Houston committed $81.4 million to him over the next five years. The final year of his new deal will be a player option.

Since entering the NBA in 2022, Eason has proven to be a versatile talent at the power forward position. He's played in a total of 221 NBA games so far, averaging 10.4 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists. He's shot the ball at a 35% clip from deep and 50.2% from two-point range.

Houston will undoubtedly look to challenge for an NBA championship this season, with Kevin Durant leading the charge. Having Fred VanVleet back from a lengthy injury will be a huge bonus for the Rockets. Of course, they will need all their stars to be fully focused. That's why Eason must ensure his TRO is extended permanently.
