Country Singer Cancels Tour After Criminal Charges Are Dropped

The announcement comes a month after a warrant was issued for the arrest of the country singer. The charges were eventually dropped.

Last month, a warrant was issued for the arrest of Bailey Zimmerman. The "Rock and a Hard Place" singer was charged with criminal damage to property (over $1,000). He was also issued a misdemeanor for falsely obtaining services in New Mexico on May 27.

The charges against the singer were dropped a couple of weeks later. He issued an apology to the Sandia Resort and Casino in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he was scheduled to perform. It is also where he caused over $16,000 in damage to his hotel room.

He then told fans that he was "reflecting on the disappointment and concern" he caused when he canceled that show.

"To my fans who bought tickets and showed up expecting a performance, I am so sorry, you deserved better from me," he wrote. "I understand that being a musician comes with big responsibilities, both on and off stage, and I know that I fell short that day."

Apparently, Zimmerman needs some more time to reflect. He shared in a statement posted on his Instagram page that he is canceling his tour.

Why Is Bailey Zimmerman Canceling His Tour?

In his statement, Zimmerman doesn't reference the incident at the Sandia Resort and Casino. It seems that the reason for the cancellation is a little more personal.

"I wanted to let you all know personally that I unfortunately have to cancel my UK/Europe shows," he began.

"This was not an easy decision and it kills me to have to cancel because I know how excited everyone is... but right now I need to take this time to focus on important family matters," continued Zimmerman. "Everything is okay, it's just my family needs my attention and that's what I've got to do.

"I will still be playing my shows in North America in August, but after that I will be taking some more time to focus on me, my family, and new music. Once again I'm so sorry to everybody that has waited so long... I hope y'all can understand that my family has to come first.

"Thank you for having my back on this crazy ride we call life."

As far as we know, Zimmerman is not married or in a relationship. However, he is close to his parents, who divorced when he was ten. While it was his father who introduced Zimmerman to country music, the singer's mother loaned him $1,500 so he could quit his job and move to Nashville. He returned the favor last year with a new house and a Cadillac Escalade.
