Zac Brown is opening up about struggles as an artist to craft an album in today's climate. Speaking with Setlist FM, Brown says that the industry is focused on singles instead of a full collective work.

According to Brown, fans just don't have the attention span to focus on long collections of content.
He said, "I checked off a lot of boxes, a lot of bucket list things on this album. And I'm really, really proud of the music on there. I mean, I think there's some songs on there that are as good as any ones that we've ever written."
But he still believes that albums are important.
He continued, "It's more challenging these days, because of the amount of content that people consume...and the duration of people's attention spans to get people to really digest an album. But you still gotta fight for it. Still gotta fight for it. Still gotta put yourself into everything. We don't mail things in."

Brown says that he just tries to put in as much effort as he can to make a really good album.
He explained, "We really try to make things as good as we can and exceed expectations. And I know if I get it to a point where I really love it, just as a fan of music, then that's really all I can do".
Brown also talked about feeling burnt out while putting together his Love & Fear album. He had to balance that while preparing for concerts at the Sphere.
"Honestly, I'm still a little bit burnt out from the two years of making that entire album, making all the visuals for (Sphere), making all the stages and costumes — everything that it took to pull that off," he said.
He also added, "You learn your limits. You learn what you're good at. You learn what help you need. It's a worthy cause; I was trying to give the fans something they could never dream they would want, and I feel like we did that — with this album, too."
