People just love to hate on others. It can be anything - something as stupid as whether someone likes the same music as you, or more serious, like their political views.
And for country artist Bryan Andrews, he gets a lot of the latter. Country music as a genre tends to be typically associated with more of the right wing of American politics, right?
Well, Andrews is going against the grain. He's one of the few stars in country that sees himself on the left side of the aisle.
Freedom of speech and opinion is one of the biggest parts of American democracy. But, as with all things, some take it too far. As per Taste of Country Nights, he opened up about some of the worst threats he's received.
"Dude, there was one [threat] that I was pretty sketched-out about," he recalled. "I've never talked about this publicly, but there was one that was like, 'Don't worry, you have an address too."
"I was like, alright, that's a little f***** up, you know what I mean? I was like, that one, that one was a little too far."

The Country Artist Knows Most Political Death Threats are Hot Air
But, he does know that most of these threats don't really have much backing to them. "Most of them are just like kids, or some s***s that are just on the internet that shouldn't really have a phone that shouldn't really have a phone and they're like 'Oh f*** you, you should kill yourself', or whatever, but most of those people are not going to do anything."
It's not all bad, though - people who make those kinds of threats are just a vocal minority. Not only does he say he has a fan base of people who are "willing to bat" for him, but he sees political reason every single day.
"I think that those kinds of people are always very good about giving me a chance... Or at least seeing where I'm coming from," he explained.
Whether you agree with him, or disagree with him, can we all at least agree that country music is one of the best things to ever happen?
