Savannah Guthrie Issues Anguished Video Message for Mom Nancy's Kidnappers

It has been almost six months since Nancy Guthrie, the mom of Today co-host Savannah Guthrie, was apparently abducted from her Tucson home. Since then, the search for the 84-year-old has been ongoing. Nevertheless, despite many emotional video pleas from Savannah for news of Nancy, her whereabouts still remain a mystery. The plight of her loved ones who are in limbo and torment, constantly wondering what happened to her, is unimaginable.

Savannah Guthrie returned to her post on TV months ago. However, her life is certainly not the same. She just issued yet another video entreaty to her mother's kidnappers. She clearly hopes that they will have a pang of conscience and reveal Nancy Guthrie's fate. The Instagram video is captioned with the three words that have sadly come to define this case: "Bring her home."

Guthrie Is Pleading With Her Mother's Abductors for Answers

Clad in a dark jacket and white top, Guthrie looks weary. Who wouldn't be, after such a protracted, awful ordeal? She says in the video, "I'm coming to today with a very specific message. It has been months since our mom was taken from us. Our family is in agony, We are in a nightmare that will not end — nothing about our situation has changed."

She went on, "We have done our part and we will never stop looking for her. We will always ache for her, feel that hole in our hearts."

"I Believe There Is Always a Way Home"

Guthrie urgently appealed to whatever decency her mother's kidnappers may have. "The world can be a cruel and unforgiving place and I know that you have tried to do things the right way, so I'm asking you — begging you — to do the right thing now."

Furthermore, Savannah Guthrie shared, "Make the right choice. Help us find her. Tell us where to look for her. I truly believe it is never too late to do the right thing. Help us bring this situation to an end. For all of us — no matter where we've been and what we've done — I believe there is always a way home. Please make the right choice."
