Former NFL player Jordan Devey has sadly passed away at the age of 38. Lindsey Devey, Jordan's wife, confirmed the heartbreaking news on Thursday, July 24. Jordan reportedly passed away by suicide.

A GoFundMe page has now been set up to help the family.
"Tragically, Jordan took his own life, leaving his family to navigate an incredibly difficult and heartbreaking time," the description of the GoFundMe reads. "As they face overwhelming emotional and financial challenges, including mounting medical expenses, the community is coming together to support Lindsey and their children. The funds raised will help ease the financial burden, allowing them to focus on healing and moving forward without the added stress of immediate expenses."
The GoFundMe has a target of $200,000 and has already reached $88,916 at the time of writing. 429 people have made donations so far, as they seek to help Devey's family in what is certainly a difficult time.
Following Jordan's Death, Lindsey shared a heartwarming post on her Instagram page.
"We have filled the walls of our homes and hearts with countless memories, joys, struggles, and triumphs. We brought 4 beautiful children into this world that have your eyes, freckles, and compassion," she wrote. "You were our hero and our hearts ache in your absence. We love you. We miss you. And as you said in your last words to me, "we'll talk soon." Please, if you are able, donate to our fund to ease the financial burdens that weigh heavily on our hearts."
Jordan Devey Spent Seven Seasons in the NFL
Jordan Devey entered the NFL in 2014. He spent seven seasons under contract with multiple teams. As a rookie, Jordan joined the New England Patriots practice squad. He then played in six games for the franchise, in what was the same year the team won the Super Bowl by defeating the Seattle Seahawks.
In 2015, Jordan moved to the San Francisco 49ers, playing in 15 games. He then spent three seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs before having one-year stops with the Oakland Raiders and Buffalo Bills.
According to The New York Post, Jordan had recently landed a job as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for Eagle High School in Idaho.
