Brexton has honored his dad, Kyle Busch, by winning his first race since his tragic death. As reported by People, he competed in Kyle's car at the event.
Samantha Busch documented the huge night for Brexton Busch on social media. Friday, July 17 at Oklahoma's Port City Raceway was a great day for Brexton, as he won the restricted micro sprint class. He also had competed in other divisions, too.
In one post, Samantha explained, "There was a lot of emotions to say the very least. Beyond proud of him, not just for winning but all that he's navigating at a young age."
She also revealed that he had drove his dad's No. 18 to victory at the raceway. "6 to 1 in outlaw heat driving Dad's car," she wrote, alongside a picture of the car speeding along.
In a play by play of what happened before Brexton Busch secured his win, she explained, "In restricted Brexton started p14, huge wreck lap one started in the back p12. Made his way thru the field... And he ended up with the WIN!!!!"

Brexton Busch Started Racing Just Two Weeks After Kyle Busch Passed
Following the win, Samantha said that she was "beyond shattered that Kyle isn't here to be a part of this." But, she expressed gratefulness for "all the support and amazing people" there to support them.
Since Kyle Busch tragically passed away, Brexton has took his racing seriously. He threw himself into his racing career just two weeks after his passing, continuing to race.
As reported by People when he first got back to the track, the Charlotte Motor Speedway had posted about Brexton's appearance there.
They wrote, "A little Shootout shakedown ?" alongside a picture of Brexton's electric green car.
Social media commenters were supportive of Brexton, both then and after he'd won his race on Friday. One commented, "Hell yeah Brexton! So happy to see you out there doing what you love and what you shared with your dad! This is probably the best therapy for you. We're all with you buddy! Stay strong! Sending prayers and love."
