Katie Gaudreau is celebrating her first wedding anniversary with her husband, Devin Joyce. As reported by People, she shared a heartwarming photo carousel on social media to celebrate the occasion.
They celebrated the anniversary on July 11. Her post on social media reads, "One year. More than yesterday, less than tomorrow. 07.11.25."
The 28-year-olds got married in a 200-guest event at St. Mary's Church in Gloucester City, New Jersey. They originally were planning to get married in 2024, but it was cancelled.
That was because Gaudreau tragically lost her two brothers, Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau. They were struck and killed by an alleged drunk driver the night before Gaudreau and Joyce were due to get married.
In a tragic turn of events, they were set to be groomsmen at the wedding. Leading up to her wedding, Gaudreau explained just how difficult it was mentally preparing for the wedding following the tragic incident.
"It's hard to put into words how much has shifted," she recalled, "how much I've carried in my heart since last August. Back then, we were preparing with so much love and excitement. I remember the way John and Matty lit up - how genuinely happy they were to celebrate Devin and me. Their joy was radiant, effortless and contagious."

Devin added that they "knew this wedding would be completely different" from what they'd originally planned. "We're missing two of the most important people who should still be here with us. It wouldn't be the same, but it would still be a celebration of love - ours and theirs."
Gaudreau Honored Her Brothers at the Wedding
Gaudreau and her to-be husband decided to honor her fallen brothers in some pretty special ways.
For one, they used their hockey jersey numbers as a part of the bridal bouquet - 21 standard roses for Matthew, and 13 spray rose blooms for Johnny. Devin and the groomsmen also wore socks that had the numbers embroidered.
Katie's veil also had heartwarming messages attached - "Love you - Matty", and "Love ya - John" in their handwriting. "It's their words, their hands, a piece of them woven into mine to walk me down the aisle and keep me safe, one on each time," she explained.
