Boston police are currently investigating a body that was found at a property owned by the husband of Representative Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts. As reported by CBS News Boston, they released a statement about the incident.
James Moccia of the Boston Police Department explained to the outlet that officers were called to the house on Saturday, July 18. He said they arrived at the Mattapan neighborhood "for a report to investigate a person."
They found a person dead at the scene. Whilst he confirmed that a homicide unit was handling the investigation, there were no further details at the time.
Police are actively investigating the situation, with a police cruiser being seen outside the home. Red crime tape also adorned the scene, blocking off access.
It is important to note that neither Representative Pressley nor her husband is presumed to be involved in the incident.

The Representative Released Statements About the Incident
In a statement from a spokesperson for Representative Pressley, the Congresswoman extended "her deepest condolences to the impacted family."
As well as this, Conan Harris, Pressley's husband, also took to social media in a statement, where he thanked people for their "care and concern", according to Yahoo. He also said that "our family is safe." He added, "My heart goes out to the family that lost a loved one today in Mattapan."
Pressley was elected to the House of Representatives in 2018, when she defeated Representative Michael Capuano after a long-fought primary.
The House is Currently for Sale
Neither Pressley nor Harris was living at the property at the time of the incident. Rather, the house was up for sale, with an estimated property value of $919,000.
Harris had originally purchased the property back in 2021. A realtor involved in the sale of the property confirmed to the outlet that the current tenants had lived there for "a while" prior to the incident. It appears that Harris had been renting the house out at the time.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the person who was found dead. We hope that the police can get to the bottom of this incident and that their family can be given some peace of mind.
