Recall Issued for Over 730,000 Pillsbury Rolls

It may be time to check your bread box. A recall was issued for nearly 736,000 Pillsbury bread rolls by General Mills.

It may be time to check your bread box. A recall was issued for nearly 736,000 Pillsbury bread rolls by General Mills, according to a notice from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The reason for the recall is that the affected products may contain "potential foreign material (glass)."

What Pillsbury Products Are Affected by the Recall?

Among the products affected by the recall are 3,080 cases of Pillsbury Bread Rolls "Hard Roll Dough." These contain 180 rolls each, for a total of 554,400 rolls. 

Also included are 1,260 cases of Pillsbury Bread Rolls "Kaiser Roll Dough." Each package contains 144 rolls, for a total of 181,440 rolls. 

These frozen bread rolls were distributed in the following states: Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Missouri, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wyoming. 

According to General Mills' website, the affected product is more for businesses and cafeterias than for family use. The company issued the recall on June 19.

  • Product info: cases with 144 units / 2.5oz each

General Mills has not issued any additional information on what to do if you have any of the affected product, so continue to check for updates. 

In addition to its Pillsbury brand, General Mills is known for the brands Betty Crocker, Cheerios, Lucky Charms, and Nature Valley. 

This news comes as several Pedigree dog food brands were recalled earlier this month for containing sharp metal and plastic fragments.
