"Our beloved bandmate, sister, and friend Jennifer Finch has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer," the statement said. "Following multiple surgeries and serious complications, Jennifer now requires extensive medical care, rehabilitation, and professional in-home support."

The statement then continues by confirming that the band's upcoming tour will continue, as per Jennifer's wishes.

"The Last Hurrah Tour was planned along with Jennifer when all four of us were in good health and spirits. Although she will not be able to join us for the upcoming U.S. dates, Jennifer has asked us to continue with the tour as planned. We will honor her request while making her care and well-being our immediate priority."

L7 enjoyed most of their success during the early to mid-90s; however, the band has sporadically released albums throughout the decades. Their last studio release came in 2019 with "Scatter The Rats." The group's most popular songs consist of "Pretend We're Dead" and "S--tlist."

L7 Has Launched a GoFundMe for Jennifer Finch

L7 has also launched a GoFundMe following the news of Jennifer's diagnosis. The online fundraiser has already generated $298,000 of the $350,000 target. The aim of the fundraiser is to help cover the level of care Jennifer needs moving forward.

"When she first heard the diagnosis, there was reason to believe that treatment, including a full course of radiation, would get her back to some version of normal living," the description of the GoFundMe says. "Unforeseen complications led to multiple surgeries and a string of difficult setbacks."

The description then continues to explain why the GoFundMe will be so helpful to both Jennifer and her family.

"The cost of giving Jennifer the care she needs is overwhelming, but it's what gives her the best chance for meaningful improvement while maintaining as much comfort, dignity, and independence as possible. These funds will also help to ensure Jennifer's life work keeps making noise long after this moment."

L7's fans have banded together to help raise such an enormous amount of money. Therefore, there's reason to believe the GoFundMe will hit its target. Hopefully, that can ensure Jennifer gets the care she needs and can be as comfortable as possible.
