John Stamos Explains Why He Keeps Turning Down 'Dancing with the Stars'

John Stamos has no intention of ever appearing on 'Dancing With The Stars' and confirmed as much during a recent podcast appearance

Sorry, Dancing With The Stars fans, John Stamos has ruled out ever appearing on the show! The Full House star, 62, recently addressed his stance during a July 7 episode of 'The Bobbycast.'

"I said, 'Don't ever ask me again,'" Stamos said, via PEOPLE. "I'm never gonna do that show..."I just never... What makes that show good is people suffering and looking like fools. They're breaking their feet, calluses... I don't want that."

This isn't the first time Stamos has ruled out appearing on the popular reality show. In 2010, he posted on Twitter, ruling himself out of making an appearance.

"I'm not doing Dancing with the Stars. Flattered to be asked," his post said. "I'm not a dancer."

Despite not wanting to be a participant, it does appear that Stamos has kept tabs on fellow Full House alums when they've been contestants, though. During the podcast interview, he gave Bobby Bones a hard time about beating Juan Pable Di Pace back in 2018.

"That guy won that year and you shouldn't have won," Stamos noted. "Oh my God, that was an upset. That kid, he got 10s all across and then some jackass came in and beat him. That's you? Oh my God, I'm done with this podcast."

John Stamos Will Appear in Season 2 of Netflix's 'Hunting Wives'

During the podcast episode, Stamos also shared that he'll be making an appearance on season two of Netflix's Hunting Wives. Interestingly, he also noted that at the current stage in his career, he wants to take on tougher, more challenging roles.

"People trust me. I've been coming to their homes for 30, 40 years or whatever. It's like, 'Okay, we'll take this ride with him,' and then it's like, 'Oh no, oh no, it's getting weird. It's getting weird,' " Stamos detailed. "I just did Hunting Wives, which is a pretty dark, wild show."

Stamos is very clearly comfortable with himself and knows what he wants out of his career. So, while Dancing With The Stars fans will undoubtedly be disappointed, there's a good chance we're going to love some of his upcoming work.
