Cops Take Down Martial Arts Master and Dodges Karate Kick in Wild Viral Video

A martial arts master was not match for a group of cops during a recent pursuit, despite him throwing some crazy kick

Police officers have a tough job. 90% of the time, they don't know what situation they're walking into, what weapons people are carrying, or what training they've done. As such, situations are prone to going downhill in the blink of an eye.

One Virginia Beach police officer was reminded of the risks that come with the job when pursuing a perp along the shoreline. Timothy Allen Wegert, 33, was reportedly being chased after being involved in a physical altercation.

As Timothy looked to flee on foot, he was chased by four officers. Unfortunately, what they didn't know at the time was that Timothy is a martial arts master. In footage that has since gone viral, Timothy can be seen executing a spinning back kick, which is one of Karate's most explosive moves, as the officers chase him.

The kick itself was aimed at a pursuing officer's head. Yet, like Neo out of The Matrix, the cop sees the kick coming and manages to duck under the foot at the perfect time. Talk about impressive!

Timoth was ultimately tackled to the ground. He was then restrained by the four police on the scene. Ultimately, he was put in handcuffs. Let's be honest, knowing that he was a martial arts master, handcuffing him was probably the safest option.

This Wasn't the First Time Cops Had Arrested Timothy Allen Wegert

According to The New York Post, this wasn't the first time Timothy had found himself in trouble with the law. In fact, he previously lost his job at UpLevel Martial Arts in Charlottesville after being involved in multiple assaults.

"Wegert was fired as CEO of UpLevel Martial Arts for multiple assaults that he carried out outside of work, Peters told the outlet," The New York Post reported.

"I know him very, very well, I know the whole family — what a nice family. It's a shame," Bill Peters, a reported friend of Timothy's, told the outlet.

Following his arrest, Timothy was charged with felony assault on a law enforcement officer. He's also been hit with multiple misdemeanor counts, including disorderly conduct. There is no further information regarding his situation.
