Taylor Swift always likes to surprise her fans. One big shocker was the revelation that Adam Sandler officiated at her wedding to Travis Kelce on Friday, July 3. The Madison Square Garden bash was, by all accounts so far, a magical, poignant extravaganza. Sandler evidently really took pride and pleasure in his key role. In fact, per People, an unnamed source claims that he "said yes right away" when asked to do it. "He was incredibly honored to be part of such a special day," according to this person.

He Spoke "From the Heart"
The source added that Adam Sandler was an ideal choice to unite his pal Taylor with her beloved, Travis. The Happy Gilmore actor and comedian has been married to wife Jackie for 23 years, so he must have a romantic side.
Sounds like Sandler brought some of that emotion and wedded savvy to the blissful couple's ceremony. Said the source, "He wasn't trying to find the perfect words or make it this big production. He just wanted to speak from the heart and pass along a little wisdom that he's gained from his own happy marriage."
Sandler Got High Marks From One Guest
Andy Reid, the head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs, thought that Adam Sandler did a really great job for the famous lovebirds. Discussing the epic wedding with Utah's KSL News, Reid remarked, ""Adam Sandler did the ceremony there, so he mentioned, 'Kiss her every chance you have.' So I think that, in its own simple way, that's a pretty good message. Kiss her before bed, kiss her before you go to work, all those things. It's hard to argue when you're kissing somebody."
Furthermore, the coach admiringly went on, "He even mentioned that if maybe you did have a small argument, to finish it with a kiss and make sure that you work it out. And as simple as that is, I thought it was wise words."
Kelce and Sandler Have Crossed Paths Before
Adam Sandler and Travis Kelce actually know each other. Per Variety, Kelce had a small part in Happy Gilmore 2. And Sandler has been a guest on New Heights, which is Kelce's podcast.
