According to the BBC, Brown's ex-housekeeper, Maria Avila, filed the lawsuit against him after she was brutally attacked by his 200-pound dog in 2020.
Avila said the dog, named Hades, ripped off "large chunks of her skin." The vicious attack led to permanent facial disfigurement, scarring, vision loss and nerve damage.
During the trial, Brown said he discovered Avila motionless and in "a lot of blood" following the attack.
"The blood kind of freaked me out," he explained. Brown admitted he was "in shock" after discovering the housekeeper.
Fearing media backlash if his voice was heard on a 911 call or seen near the incident, Brown left the scene before first responders arrived.
The "With You" singer said that he advised Avila and her sister Patricia, who was also working during the scary incident, never to go outside unless escorted by security because his dogs were "absolutely not" friendly.
The Stomp the Yard star revealed that he purchased the dogs as an additional security measure.
"I get a lot of stalker-type situations," Brown told the jury.
Avila denied that such a conversation took place. She added that the language barrier would have made any discussion virtually impossible.

Along with the $13 million to Avila, the housekeeper's husband, Oscar Olivo, and her sister were awarded $50,000 and $885,000. All three individuals were working at Brown's home when the attack occurred.
Billboard was first to report the verdict Tuesday.
Avila's attorney stated, "After more than five years of litigating against Chris Brown, we are thrilled that we were able to get justice for our client, Patricia."
"We are so happy for her and her family. After everything they went through on that horrible day," he added. "It was an honor to represent her."
Brown is expected to continue his co-headline tour with soul singer Usher.
