Ella Langley's smash hit "Choosin' Texas" has now spent 11 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it the longest-running No. 1 Hot 100 hit by a woman with a Country song in the chart's history.

It breaks out of a tie with Debby Boone's "You Light Up My Life," which dominated the Hot 100 for 10 weeks (becoming the first song to reign for double-digit weeks) and reached No. 4 on Hot Country Songs in 1977.

The hit song, which was released in October 2025, has amassed 49 million views on its official music video on YouTube. It has also generated millions of streams across Spotify, Apple Music and other digital streaming platforms.

The video premiered in April and features "Yellowstone" actor Luke Grimes and cameos by Miranda Lambert, Wade Bowen and several rodeo stars.

"Choosin' Texas" tops Hot Country Songs for a 29th week.

Ella Langley Makes Country Music History

Impressively, this is the second time this month that Langley has made Billboard history.

Earlier this month, "Choosin' Texas" became the longest-running No. 1 by a solo female artist in the history of Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart.

Additionally, this week's return to No. 1 marks its sixth separate stay atop the Hot 100. That is the most distinct No. 1 runs ever recorded for a single release cycle.

Langley is the first woman to simultaneously lead the Billboard Hot 100, Hot Country Songs, and Country Airplay charts, achieved only by three artists before her: Shaboozey, Post Malone, and Morgan Wallen.

During a radio interview with WKML 95.7, Langley detailed her reaction to the song's massive success.

"This genuinely has shocked me to my core," Langley admits. "I was talking to Miranda [Lambert] the other night. I mean, this is groundbreaking territory for all of us. All the writers on the song, everyone included. And it's just crazy to see how many different people love this song, and why they love this song."

In addition to her Billboard success, Langley also celebrated several new certifications. "Choosin' Texas" and "You Look Like You Love Me" both reached four-times Platinum. "Weren't for the Wind" earned three-times Platinum. Plus, "Be Her," Hungover, and Dandelion all went Platinum.
