Woman Arrested for Threatening Taco Bell Workers With Gun in Maryland

We all get that sense of frustration when fast food isn't exactly fast. But one Taco Bell customer allegedly took it too far.

Everyone knows the pure annoyance that is having to wait for your food. The frustration can cause some people to get angry and lash out at the workers—as you've probably seen before.

But this seems to be much more rare of a lashing out. A woman has been arrested after threatening Taco Bell staff with a gun. As reported by Dexerto, she also verbally abused and threatened them.

The woman was identified as 30-year-old Ashley Andrews. Police reported the incident happened on June 18—they were called to respond when a woman, Andrews, had been "displaying a handgun during a verbal altercation.

Maryland's Queen Anne's County Office of the Sheriff went into more detail on a post on

Facebook. It read, "Staff advised Andrews had become upset over her wait time for her food and during a verbal argument told staff members to meet her outside in the parking lot." A little extreme, right?

They continued, "She then lifted her shirt to show her gun and used threatening language toward them." But that's not all—she didn't just flash her gun, she even reportedly placed her hand on the grip of the gun too!

Maryland's Queen Anne County Office of the Sheriff has charged her with second-degree assault. She's also been booked with displaying a handgun to a person, disturbing the peace, or disorderly conduct, and reckless endangerment.

The Woman Paid Bail After the Taco Bell Incident

When they booked her in, the Sheriff's Office put her on bail of $5,000. She ended up paying that on June 19, when she was released.

According to Hoodline, she got a trespass ban on her from entering the Taco Bell where she was arrested.

She also invoked her right to a speedy trial. Her court date ended up being on June 23—but we can't find any information at the moment as to what happened after. We'll share the outcome of this wild incident when it becomes publicly available.

In any case, this incident tells us one thing—a Cheesy Gordita Crunch is not worth $5,000 worth of bail, nor a trial... even if it does take a while to come out of the kitchen.
