How Stolen Buffalo Wild Wings Led Police to a Murder Plot

This sounds like a movie with a delectably twisty plot, However, it actually happened in real life. The situation apparently began on Tuesday, June 16. That was reportedly when police were called in Stafford, Virginia, because of an accident. A vehicle evidently went off the road and allegedly hit a speed limit sign. That is per the Stafford County Sheriff's Office web site. The report about this incident is dated June 22, 2026.

The accident took place near Cabinet Maker Drive and Austin Ridge Drive. In fact, though, when authorities arrived on scene, the vehicle in question was gone.

The Vehicle Was Found Later, Along With Other Concerning Items

Police did locate the vehicle, plus two suspects, that evening. The vehicle was found at the Wawa on Garrisonville Road. Law enforcement officials then uncovered more than they expected. According to the Sheriff's Office report, "unopened alcoholic beverages" were located on the suspects. In addition, there was some food spotted in the vehicle.

With the help of video footage from Wawa, police learned that the suspects had allegedly taken the alcohol from the establishment. In fact, the food had also been taken, but from a different store. The suspects allegedly acknowledged taking it. The eats reportedly came from a Buffalo Wild Wings.

When the vehicle was searched, even more items came to light, per the Sheriff's Office report. Some of them were highly disturbing and rather sinister. They allegedly included "opened alcoholic beverages, multiple knives, medical items and a notebook detailing a murder plot."

Upon making that alarming discovery, detectives then raced into action to find out more.

The Notebook Allegedly Belonged to a Teenager

The teen who allegedly owned that notebook is Louis Conely. He is 19 years old and is from Stafford. Upon additional investigation, authorities came to a chilling conclusion. Louis Conely, and the other suspect, who is a juvenile, allegedly created "two detailed murder plots against the juvenile's family."

Charges Were Reportedly Brought Against Both Suspects

Both suspects are facing charges. According to the Sheriff's Office report, Louis Conely, who is in jail, has been charged with a slew of crimes. They include drinking while driving, possession of a schedule IV controlled substance. hit and run, reckless driving, two counts of felony threats in writing. unlawful purchase of alcohol, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, two counts of conspiracy to commit murder, and petit larceny.

The juvenile is facing one count of felony threats in writing, plus two counts of conspiracy to commit murder. This person is being held in a juvenile detention facility.
