As reported by PEOPLE, the injury caused the "Miles On It" star to miss the concert at Tight End University, presented by Sports Illustrated and Reese's, in Nashville on Tuesday, June 23.
Wait... How Many Stitches Did Kane Brown Have to Get?
Brown shared pictures of his 23 stitches on his Instagram Stories after the injury. They appear to be located near his right earlobe.
"Shot in the head by a golf ball," he wrote on one post.
In another picture of his stitches, he wrote, "Just a scratch."
In a selfie, he shared that the doctors said his injury "will prob get worse next 48 hours but I'm alive and that's all that matters." He ended the caption with, "holy crap."
The hosts of the podcast Bussin' With The Boys, former NFL players Taylor Lewan and Will Compton, broke the news to fans at Tight End University with some humor.
Joked Compton, "He says concussion, the football guys probably don't buy it."
He then added, "We're gonna do a moment of silence for Craig Kane Brown."
The Show Went On Without Him
Tight End University was co-founded in 2021 by tight ends Travis Kelce, George Kittle and Greg Olsen. Not only is it a way for the players to bond with their peers, but it also raises funds for causes selected by the event's founders.
At the show, Kelce's fiancé, Taylor Swift, performed a surprise set. She even joined Lainey Wilson for a duet. The show also included performances from Dan + Shay and Chase Rice.
Last year, Brown joined Kelce and Swift for Patrick Mahomes' 30th birthday celebration. The party took place at 1587 Prime, a new steakhouse owned by Mahomes (whose jersey number is 15) and Kelce (who wears 87).
At the time, fans were wondering if Swift and Brown were going to work together soon. But after the golf ball injury, Brown may have missed his opportunity.
