A young Disneyland guest avoided tragedy during a recent trip to the theme park. According to other guests who were in attendance, the individual fell from the 50-ft waterfall at Tiana's Bayou Adventure.

"I was in the ride when this happened. I actually saw the kid fall down the hill for a second when our log passed the fall," one of the guests wrote on Reddit. "4 people in our log saw it, and then one minute later the ride stopped for probably 10 minutes."
That same Reddit user then continued detailing how the situation unfolded.
"Then it started again we went throughout the ride like nothing happened when we got off there were about 6 Disney police and a mother and two kids were with them all soaked. My whole family has been looking online for some answers but this is the only thing that came up."
Falling from 50 feet must be terrifying. The fact the individual is still alive is a miracle, and the best-case scenario given the circumstances.
A separate Reddit user, who also claims to have been in attendance during the incident, noted that the individual was a 13-year-old boy.
"He attempted to exit the ride vehicle at the top of the final drop," the user wrote. "The ride stop mechanism failed to engage or was already past the threshold for the vehicle to enter free fall. All I heard from my source is that he sustained a lot of cuts and scrapes from sliding down the drop; luck was on his side and seems he didn't hit his head/in an uncontrollable tumble."
The Disneyland Guest Had Reportedly Exited the Ride
According to Disneyland sources who spoke with TMZ, the individual had exited the ride before the incident occurred.
"A Disneyland source tells TMZ ... on Sunday, a 13-year-old guest exited the log ride just before the huge drop at the end of the attraction. The boy slid down the steep drop on his own ... and we're told as a precaution, he was transported to a local hospital, where he was evaluated and released."
The whole situation could have been far worse than it turned out. Fortunately, the individual appears to be ok, and Disneyland guests were able to continue enjoying their day out.
